Okay, so perhaps I am exaggerating just a little bit, but everywhere my Little Orange Doggy goes, there seems to be a fine coating of orange hair left behind. It doesn't matter how much time we spend brushing out that loose hair, there is always more left to fall out on the furniture. Thankfully, I have leather sofas so it's easily brushed off then hoovered up, the car on the other hand is a whole other story.
I often take Max on the school run with me and give him a walk around the village. He loves his school run walks because he gets to see the children and of course the ducks on the duck pond. My poor car, doesn't enjoy it quite as much. I always cover the back seat with a huge towel, but those pesky dog hairs still get everywhere, and I really do mean, everywhere; he has never sat in the front of my car and yet still I find the odd orange hair. I'm almost convinced they have a life of their own and are multiplying. Vacuuming them up sort of works, but they are so soft and fine that it's virtually impossible to get rid of all of them.
I don't mean to moult everywhere |
Poor little doggy, he really doesn't mean to moult everywhere, but he just can't help it. All is not lost though, indoors we have the vacuum, which gets dragged outside to the car too, but I now have another solution. Oh yes, from now on, the back of my car will be protected; at least I hope it will, because I have a (not so) secret weapon...
I'd been looking at these covers and was a little undecided. However, I went to get some petrol at one of those old fashioned petrol stations, (meaning no pay at the pump option) so I had to go in, and what do you know, there they were staring at me, Pet Seat Covers. They were only £6.99 and part of that goes to Battersea, so nothing to lose.
I've had it a couple of weeks now and I have to say, it does look lovely in its box. I will use it soon though, but I want it to be nice and new when I use it for the first time in my new car. Oh did I forget to mention that? Yep, that would be me, who accidentally bought a new car, but that is a post for another time (well maybe next Wednesday). What I will say is this, do not let me loose alone in a car showroom. Dr. BD is under strict instructions not to let me anywhere near a prestige car showroom, goodness only knows what I might leave with.
Ahh! The cover sounds brilliant and you are doing your bit for a great charity.

It's definitely needed and the fact we're helping Battersea Dogs and Cats is a real bonus x
DeleteOh, he doesn't mean to shed but I do understand. Hair, hair everywhere!
ReplyDeleteBless him, you can't be cross, he's too cute x
DeleteYou accidentally bought a new car?! Can't wait to hear that story. I think the blanket will be a nice ouch to your new vehicle for sure.
ReplyDeleteOh Jen, everyone is finding this highly amusing. I should be getting the new car this week, so best I get started on that post x
DeleteI hear you Lisa! It's starting to warm up, so the dogs will go into shedding overdrive. Luckily two of them don't moult and Zola's fur is barely noticeable. It's the two black dogs that leave noticeable fur. I'm sure your new car will look even better with the addition of a fine layer of orange hair.
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up with the #MMBC.
xx
Oh I didn't mention the black cat hair on the cream coloured carpet. We wouldn't be without our pets though would we? x
DeleteOh our house is just the same! I'm constantly cleaning up our newfies fur. A draft from an opened door sends big black tumbleweeds across the room! Well, maybe a little exaggerated :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for being part of #MMBC. Hope to see you Monday xx
He's just been groomed so hopefully, it won't be quite so bad now x
DeleteOh I feel your pain, it must be constant cleaning of the hair everywhere! Thanks so much for linking up to #dreamteam hope to see you next time :) x
ReplyDeleteIt's fair to say, I get the vacuum cleaner out an awful lot :-) x
