Celebrating Wednesday's #30

Well here we are once again slap bang in the middle of the week. How's it been? Good, bad, a bit of both? However it's been, let's take a few moments out, have a breather, a hot drink and relax while we set about finding out what this Wednesday has in store for us to celebrate.

Now, I'm going to be honest with you, I think this may be one you either love or hate. No, before you jump the gun, it is not Marmite, but yes it's true, you either love it or hate it, there is no in between. This could be considered the same, so if you are not a lover, I apologise, but it was the only celebration on my calendar today, so we're celebrating it.

So, without further ado, I will put you out of your very obvious suspense (I can feel it from here) and present to you today's very special day on which we are celebrating...

Violin Day

Marmite? I know some people absolutely loathe the violin. I rather like it. Once someone has mastered it, it is a beautiful instrument and incredibly versatile, it works in every genre of music, don't you think? That is, once it's mastered. I'm sure we've all heard the horrendous squeaking and screeching as someone begins learning.  That said, I'm sure it's a better effort than I might make.

So what could you do to celebrate Violin Day. Well I suppose you could listen to one of the world's very many famous and immensely talented violinists. Perhaps you play the violin already, in which case, no brainer, get your fiddle out and get playing!

Perhaps, you used to play as a child and you still have that violin of yours hidden away in a cupboard. Off you go, dig it out, dust it off, tune it up (this step is crucial, do not miss this step out) and get playing again. Yes, it will likely sound awful after so many years, but hey, it would be rude not to on Violin Day.
