Celebrating Wednesday's #33

Well here we are three weeks into the New Year. Have you reverted to writing 2017 yet or are you still on a roll remembering it's now 2018? Anyway, here we are midway through the third week of a New Year and let's be honest, the weekend is still too far away, so let's settle down with a cuppa and find out what today's special day is.

I'm not sure if this is something to celebrate, or commiserate to be honest, but today is...

...Ditch New Year's Resolutions Day!

I'll be honest, the above is exactly how my list of goals or resolutions looks like...I'm not one for making New Year's resolutions, but if you are and if quite frankly you've had enough, today is the day you can officially chuck them out the window and not feel remotely guilty. There you go, you have permission.

Given up chocolate, today you can go and be kind and treat yourself to a Mars Bar, or whatever you fancy. Please note, I am not giving you express permission to over indulge, just saying treat yourself, but the self discipline is up to you.

Hands up, who joined the gym? Now hands up who has been regularly? Today you can stop, unless you paid a subscription, in which case I'd maybe try and stick with it, but not feel like you have to go every day of the week.

Of course, there are some resolutions that you really should keep up with. If you gave up smoking, well done! You've come this far, yes you're probably struggling, but stick with it, think how much extra money you'll have!

Anyway, if you are a bit fed up and regretting making a drunken resolution on the stroke of midnight, today is the day you can give up on it, but only if you really want to.

  1. Hi Lisa, I'm not one for making resolutions either, although I have joked that mine was to go on Facebook more often. People know I'm not keen on the platform, but still they message me! It is funny that there is an official ditch the resolutions day. I'd much rather take each day one baby step at a time.

Thank you for linking up with the #MMBC.

  2. Totally agree with you Debs. It seems silly to just ditch something.
